University of Maryland Block and Bridle Club UMD Block and Bridle welcomes all UMD students with an interest in production animal agriculture!

Club Objectives are:
To promote a higher scholastic standard and a more complete understanding of Animal Science among student members. To promote animal agriculture through development of a program of activities that will supplement students' study of the animal sciences in colleges and universities. To enhance professionalism of students who will one day be leaders in the animal agriculture ind

ustry. To bring about a closer relationship among all students pursuing some phase of animal agriculture as a profession.

Congrats to our graduating senior Raven Herron! Raven is graduating with an Animal Science degree on the Pre-Veterinary Track. Some of her favorite memories at UMD and as a part of Block and Bridle include showing on Ag Day, coaching showmen, being a part of the NESA team, and Dystocia Meetings. She will be attending NC State College of Veterinary Medicine and we can’t wait to see where it will take her! Congrats Raven, we wish you the best of luck on this next part of your journey!!

Congrats to our graduating senior Emily Todd!! Emily is on the Animal Science Pre-Professional track, and has been very involved in the animal science department. Some of her favorite memories include being involved in clubs like Block and Bridle, spending time with friends, and being involved with CMREC and Roseda. She plans to take a year off to work at her clinic, work in a research lab on campus, and later attend BCT and AIT to work towards the Army Veterinary Corps once she obtains her DVM! Congrats Emily, we wish you the best of luck on this next part of your journey!
