Throughout his internship, Jacob has had the opportunity to apply economic and analytical concepts to real world business challenges. From building automation tools to supporting complex business analyses, he has gained valuable hands on experience while contributing to a high performing team.

Congratulations to Fatima Escurra on her summer internship with the Federal Reserve Bank of Dallas as a Community Engagement and Development Intern! 👏

Throughout her internship, Fatima has worked alongside professionals dedicated to strengthening communities and supporting economic well being through public service. Surrounded by a passionate and knowledgeable team, she gained valuable insight into the Federal Reserve’s role in fostering meaningful connections with the communities it serves.

Reflecting on her experience, Fatima shared that she learned the Federal Reserve is about much more than research and data. It is also about listening to people, understanding their experiences, and creating opportunities for community voices to be heard. This experience has deepened her appreciation for the importance of community engagement and public service.

One of the highlights of her internship has been gaining exposure to the innovative AI tools transforming the future of finance. By combining technology with client-focused financial services, Nischintha is developing a deeper understanding of how innovation is shaping the industry.

Congratulations to Sangelina Fortier on her summer internship with Gallagher as a GGB Specialty Intern! 👏

Throughout her internship, Sangie has been exploring the specialty side of the insurance industry, gaining firsthand experience in how brokers develop tailored solutions to support clients with unique and complex needs. Working alongside the specialty team has given her valuable insight into the industry’s collaborative, client-focused approach.

In addition to her day-to-day work, Sangelina had the opportunity to volunteer as a Gallagher intern at Wrigley Field, home of the Chicago Cubs, while connecting with fellow interns from around the world. The experience has been both inspiring and energizing, allowing her to grow professionally while building meaningful connections.

Dr. Luco exemplifies these qualities through his engaging instruction, thoughtful mentorship, and commitment to helping students succeed.

Beyond the classroom, Dr. Luco’s research in empirical industrial organization and applied microeconomics explores topics including information disclosure and competition, mergers, switching costs, and consumer decision-making.
