Wrapping up ACHA Convention at The Thoroughbred Center made for the perfect final day!šŸŽ šŸ¤ We watched morning workouts, heard from an amazing panel of Kentucky equine professionals, explored internship opportunities at the career fair, and spent the day learning, networking, and making memories with new friends.

We also got to celebrate the induction of new officers and end the week with an exciting win because TAMU Horsemenā€™s brought home the Club Scrapbook Competition title for the second year in a row!!!! WHOOP! šŸ† A huge thank you to for hosting an incredible convention, and we canā€™t wait to see everyone next year in California at the 2027 convention hosted by !!

Another unforgettable day at ACHA! Today we toured Kentucky Horse Park and Spy Coast Farm, heard from Spy Coast interns, and got to watch treadmill and water therapy in action. We also enjoyed hearing from graduate students, including our own Megan Miller, as they spoke about their experiences in the graduate program and their future goals. Kentucky day 2 = divide and conquer šŸ¤šŸŽ The Aggies split up today to explore different sides of the equine industry! Our racing crew visited Keeneland Race Course, Hagyard Equine Medical Institute, and Highbramble Park Standardbreds, while our saddlebred crew toured Park Equine Hospital, Hillcroft Farm, and Kentucky Equine Sports Medicine and Rehabilitation Center. From racetracks and top-tier veterinary medicine to rehab, breeding, and beautiful farms, today was full of learning, memories, and lots of horse girl heaven. So thankful for the opportunity to experience Kentucky horse country with this group!

Day 1 at the 2026 ACHA National Convention in Lexington, Kentucky! šŸ“āœØ

We have had an exciting first day full of new experiences, great memories, and even better people. From touring the Central Kentucky Riding for Hope facility and meeting some incredible horses, to enjoying the welcome reception, dinner, and T-shirt swap, it was such a fun way to begin convention week.

This year I served as a Representative for the Horsemenā€™s Association.
When I joined the organization I honestly didnā€™t have much horse experience, so my biggest goal has just been learning as much as I can about the industry and getting more involved. Iā€™m excited to keep gaining experience and seeing where it takes me.
My favorite part has definitely been meeting people and learning from everyone in the club. Being around people who know so much about horses has made the whole experience a lot more fun.
My advice to anyone thinking about running is just go for it, even if you feel like you donā€™t know everything yet. I definitely didnā€™t when I started, but itā€™s such a good way to get involved and learn a lot. And most importantly always offer to help out the other officers with their duties whenever possible!!

Howdy! Iā€™m Anna Haffelfinger, a sophomore Animal Science major double minoring in Agrifood Sales and Agricultural Economics, also pursing an equine certificate. I had the opportunity to serve as a representative for the Horsemenā€™s Association this year.

My favorite part of serving in this role was inviting and meeting new members and helping them feel welcomed at our social events and meetings. Itā€™s been incredibly rewarding to connect with others who share a passion for the industry and to build a strong sense of community along the way.

For anyone interested in running for an officer position, I strongly encourage you to go for it! Step out of your comfort zone, put yourself out there, and take advantage of the chance to grow your leadership skills and be part of something bigger.

Howdy, my name is Madison Meyer, and I currently serve as the 2025ā€“2026 Horsemanā€™s Association Representative.

My future goal is to work in AgriLife Extension, where I hope to help youth grow and develop into educated leaders within the agricultural community. During my time with the Horsemanā€™s Association, I have truly valued the strong sense of community and the opportunity to connect with individuals from a wide range of backgrounds who share an interest in the equine industry.

For those considering running for this position, it is important to have an outgoing personality and a welcoming attitude, especially toward members who may have varying levels of knowledge and experience with horses. Creating an inclusive environment where everyone feels encouraged to participate is essential.

Additionally, maintaining motivation and enthusiasm is key to keeping members engaged and excited about being involved in the organization.

Howdy! Iā€™m Cyncere Denman, the current director of marketing. Iā€™m a sophomore majoring in animal science hoping to peruse a veterinary medicine and a phd in equine nutrition.

My favorite parts of serving this team is the ability to come up with ideas and watch them come to life. It has been great to get to know a lot of the members as well!

The advice I would give to you all wanting to run for office, is to be ready to assist in any way that you can. Whether itā€™s assisting the director of communications or assisting the president. I would also encourage you to think out side the box, but also keep in mind the brand we are upholding.

Howdy yā€™all! Iā€™m Kara Wofford and I serve as the Director of Communications for the Texas A&M Horsemenā€™s Association 2025-2026.
After I graduate from TAMU, I want to pursue a career in the equine industry surrounding QH racing, breeding, and foal prep. I have been involved with QH racing my whole life, and interning for the latest two breeding seasons at Granada Farms has confirmed the track I want to chaseā€¦ pun intended.
I throughly have enjoyed my position because I love engaging with social media, talking to members and fellow Aggies, and outreach. I have met some life long friends through TAMU Horsemenā€™s and ACHA (American Collegiate Horsemenā€™s Association) and I hope that you will choose to not only join TAMU Horsemenā€™s Association, but run to be an officer as well! Just take that leap of faith!! You wonā€™t regret it ags!
