October is Cybersecurity Awareness Month! With AI making scams faster and more believable, keeping your Texas A&M and personal accounts safe is more important than ever. These 4 core steps will help you protect yourself and your data:

❌ Avoid and report phishing scams - Report campus-related phishing emails to [email protected]
💪 Use strong, unique passwords
📱 Use Duo multifactor authentication and a password manager - Add a second device to Duo to prevent lockout if your phone breaks or dies.
💻 Ensure your operating system and software programs are kept up to date

Did a Gateway computer ever have a place in your home or office? Gateway computers arrived in their iconic cow-print boxes, and just a few computers filled an entire shipment. The box was almost as memorable as the computer itself.

Texas A&M welcomes Google Gemini to campus this week as part of Google's college tour!

Aggies have been stopping by the Gemini Lounge to test out AI-powered tools, connect with Googlers and pick up some exclusive swag.

The event gives students a chance to see Gemini in action and explore features that can help with studying, research, organization, and exam preparation. Best of all, Texas A&M students have access to Gemini at no cost.

Missed it today? The Gemini Lounge returns to Rudder Plaza on September 22 from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Make sure to stop by before they head to their next campus!

Shoutout to Tyson Reddic, Jacob Steffen, Austin Stoker, Peter Walsh, Josh Green, Brad Epps, Kenneth Longway, Liaquat Ali, Nick Rodriguez, and Greg Johnson for jumping in to support recovery efforts in the Student Services Building after a small fire. Thanks to their quick response, restoration crews were able to begin recovery efforts on time and nearly all technology equipment was preserved. Outstanding teamwork and a job well done! 👍

Technology Services came together for our second “Mic’d Up” all‑hands meeting with Interim CIO Michael Leary. Michael shared organizational updates, reviewed employee engagement survey results, and recognized IT employee award recipients for their commitment to excellence.
