We are beyond thankful to Solo Select Horses and T7 Ranches on the donation of METELES CAT to our equine program!
He is going to be a big asset in teaching our students in all areas of the equine industry and will help us to continue to build our production herd with superior genetics and athleticism.

Patience. Persistence.
My motto for 20+ yrs of halter breaking
Earning their trust.
Them allowing you to walk among them, touching them all over, out in pasture, being there as one of them. But it seems there is always one … always one who just doesn’t trust.

‘Stylish’ just doesn’t trust.
But I’m slowly earning it.
Long minutes spent just standing. Waiting. Appearing to ignore her. Humming. Singing under my breath. Squatting til my toes go numb and my knees ache. Putting myself in her favorite comfort zone area encouraging her ... tempting her to approach. And then she does. Ever so slowly. Ever so watchful.

A nose to my hand. My arm. My knee. My head. My face.

I still can’t make the move to her … but she is making the move to me. That’s a win for today.
And, she followed me to the stall door, for the first time. Another win.

It’s been quiet but busy at the center the last month.
We’ve finished our breeding season and oh what a crop of quality foals we are expecting next year!! 🤩
Details on that to follow!

For now, we are walking through our current herd, making decisions and plans, naming the foals, registering them, and have begun the process of weaning.
