Welcome to Motivational Monday!! This is a new series where we highlight a cadet in the group who has been nominated by their peers for going above and beyond and being a motivation for the rest of the outfit. Today we are highlighting our very own Jake Webster from SQ-5!!

Jake Webster is from Leander, TX and a Class of ‘26 Sport Management major with a minor in Coaching. Currently, Jake holds the position of Commanding Officer for SQ-5. He is also a Marine Contract and has committed to serving our country for four years post-graduation, with aspirations of becoming a firefighter afterward. His passions include sports, volunteering at First Baptist Bryan, and spending time with buddies. We’re eager to see Jake and his team develop the next generation of leaders in Avenger 5.

When asked about Jake, his buddies said:
“Webster emulates loyalty to his people and to his buddies. We see this every day in the way he leads with selflessness and how he consistently puts others above himself. He should be recognized for this highlight because he’s a shining example of who a leader within the Corps of Cadets should be.”

Howdy! We hope you all have been enjoying your first few weeks back and getting into your grove, but more importantly we are excited to introduce our 2nd Group Leadership!

This year, our Commanding Officer is Ms. Camille Stoufflet from Arlington, TX!! She is a Class of ‘26 Business Administration major with a minor in Entrepreneurship. We can’t wait to see what amazing things she has in store for us!

Her biggest piece of advice to freshman would be:

“Don’t give up before you have given the Corps a chance. There have been multiple times I wanted to quit but I told myself I’d quit tomorrow, just not today. Take it one day at a time. Before you know it you will be a senior. Some upperclassmen will try to pressure you into giving more than you can, but as long as you give your best, that’s all anyone can ever ask of you. I promise it’s worth it.”
