Summer European Academy Continues Tradition of Summer Programs Abroad for Bush School Political Science Students
This year, more than 20 students represented the Bush School and Texas A&M across Europe. Faculty leader Dr. Todd Kent points to the program’s lasting impact: “For over 25 years, the Summer European Academy has given students an immersive European learning experience. Students engage with the culture and interact with policymakers from NATO, the European Union, and national governments across the continent.”

Now part of the Bush School, the -and-innovation RISC Institute brings with it a track record of advancing research security on both a national and international scale.

"Research security is not about limiting collaboration; it's about ensuring that collaboration is conducted with integrity, transparency, and awareness of risk," said Kevin Gamache, RISC leader and principal investigator for the NSF SECURE Analytics effort. "This realignment places research security exactly where it belongs—at the intersection of policy, public service, and international affairs."

🚀 The Bush School is proud to continue its partnership with the U.S. Space Force!

Texas A&M will host the Space Force Captains Leadership Course through 2036, preparing up to 420 Guardians each year for leadership in an increasingly contested space domain.

Bush School faculty will provide instruction in leadership and communication, helping prepare the next generation of Space Force leaders.

“We have been honored to host the first six cohorts of the Captains Leadership Course, and we look forward to working with the Space Force to provide world-class instruction to many more Guardian officers,” said Bush School Dean John B. Sherman.

Yesterday, the Bush School, welcomed Texas’ 116th Office of the Texas Secretary of State, Robert S. Howden, for his first major appearance in the Brazos Valley at the Mosbacher Institute’s "Conversations in Public Policy." Secretary Howden outlined his top priorities, including tackling everyday border challenges and strengthening the Texas-Mexico partnership—a relationship responsible for over $300 billion in annual trade.

Earlier in the day, leaders from both sides of the border along with leaders across the University had a full day of conversation about what comes next for Texas-Mexico cooperation and for the prosperity of North America.
