Building global partnerships takes years of service, mentorship and collaboration.

Dr. Beverly J. Irby was recently awarded the highest distinction by Grigol Robakidze University (GRUNI) in the country of Georgia — Alma Mater's Distinguished Honoree. The award recognizes her nearly decade-long commitment to strengthening educational partnerships between Texas A&M University and GRUNI.

Through initiatives such as the Paths to Publication program and ongoing faculty and graduate student mentorship, Dr. Irby has supported scholarly development, international collaboration and educator preparation efforts that extend across borders.

We are proud to celebrate this recognition and the meaningful collaboration between GRUNI and Texas A&M, including our Education Leadership Research Center (ELRC) and Center for Research & Development in Dual Language & Literacy Acquisition (CRDLLA).
