Today we recognize two outstanding S-1 Spartans as they graduate from Texas A&M Corps of Cadets and commission into the United States Navy.

Mr. Aiden Parkes and Mr. Evan Baldwin have spent the last four years leading from the front, setting the standard, and investing in the people around them. From long days in the outfit to the traditions and challenges that shaped them, both men have left a lasting impact on S-1 and the Corps as a whole.

Aiden Parkes will continue his journey as a Naval Aviator, taking the lessons of discipline, humility, and leadership with him into the skies. Evan Baldwin will commission as a Surface Warfare Officer, prepared to lead sailors and serve with excellence in the fleet.

We are incredibly proud of both of these men and grateful for the example they set for every Spartan that follows behind them. Congratulations, gentlemen. Your outfit stands behind you, and we cannot wait to see the impact you make in the fleet.

Anchors Aweigh, and God bless. ⚓

Howdy Spartans,

Today’s senior spotlight is Ms. Nicole Ross ’26 from Katy, Texas. Nicole is studying Rangeland, Wildlife and Fisheries Management and will graduate in May 2026. She will then continue in the 4+1 program to earn her master’s in Natural Resources Management in 2027. This year, Nicole serves as the Commander of 6th Battalion and as the Executive Officer of the Corps Triathlon Team. In her free time, she enjoys hiking, reading, sewing, and all things triathlon. When she is not doing any of those, you can probably find Nicole picking noses that do not belong to her.
