Howdy! Welcome to the official page for the Theta Gamma chapter of Zeta Tau Alpha at Texas A&M University in College Station, Texas!

Zetas are known throughout A&M for their involvement all over campus, genuine and fun personalities, and dedication to academics. We take pride in our university and all the great traditions Texas A&M has to offer! Zeta Tau Alpha works year round, not only to raise money, but to raise awareness and education about breast cancer. We are constantly looking for ways to help out, and we will not stop until the number of those with breast cancer is lowered to zero. The purpose of Zeta Tau Alpha is the intensifying of friendship, the fostering of a spirit of love, the creating of such sentiments, the performing of such deeds, and the molding of such opinions as will be conducive to the building up of a purer and nobler womanhood in the world.

It is with the heaviest of hearts that we share the passing of our beloved sister and former Chapter President, Victoria “Tori” Burkett.

Tori was truly a light in the world, and that light could not be dimmed. She had a warmth that drew people in, a laugh that filled every room, and a heart that loved unconditionally.

To Theta Gamma, Tori was so much more than a leader. She was our sister, our friend, our mentor, our role model, and a constant source of joy and inspiration. As a member of PC ’21, Tori served as Secretary in 2022, Vice President in 2023, and Chapter President in 2024. She poured her heart into every role she held and led with grace, compassion, and an unwavering love for her sisters.

But Tori’s greatest impact was on the people she loved. She gave so much of herself to Zeta Tau Alpha, to Texas A&M, to her family and friends, and to every community she was a part of. She led with purpose, served with compassion, and loved without hesitation. She had a way of making people feel seen and valued, and she left an unforgettable mark on everyone fortunate enough to know her.

She embodied the very best of what it means to be a sister.

Although our hearts are broken by the loss of someone so extraordinary, we are forever grateful that we got to know her, love her, and call her ours. While she is no longer with us today, her impact was immeasurable and will be with us forever. The light she brought into this world will continue to shine through the countless people she touched.

Our deepest condolences and prayers are with Tori’s family and all those who loved her during this incredibly difficult time.

In honor of Tori’s legacy and her commitment to the people and communities she loved, a Zeta Tau Alpha Memorial scholarship fund has been established in her memory. Those who wish to honor Tori may do so by contributing to this fund, helping her spirit of generosity and love continue to impact future generations. The link to contribute is located in our bio.

We will miss her more than words can say, and we will love her always. Zeta is forever.
