Today, Colorado College launches Claim Our Space: Strategic Plan 2025–2030—a bold, shared vision for the next chapter of our institution.

Claim Our Space brings our collective priorities into one cohesive framework, charting a course toward academic distinction, operational sustainability, and societal impact.

The plan is grounded in four strategic priorities:

Just one swab can save lives. 🩸

CC students are helping expand the national bone marrow registry through the Colorado College Chapter of the National Marrow Donor Program (NMDP), adding 122 new donors this past academic year.

For chapter president Iris Pixler ’27, the mission is personal. After her father received two life-saving bone marrow donations from anonymous donors, Pixler joined the registry herself, then later became a donor match for a nine-year-old with leukemia.

From campus tabling events to partnerships with the Denver Nuggets and Colorado Avalanche, CC NMDP is empowering students to make a difference and increase access to life-saving transplants for patients.

Congratulations to recent Colorado College graduate Zoe Williamson '26!

Zoe has been awarded a prestigious Fulbright English Teaching Assistant Award, where she's spending nine months in Botswana teaching secondary school students while building meaningful cross-cultural connections.

A History-Political Science major while at CC, Zoe built an impressive record of educational and community engagement through studying abroad in Tunisia, supporting migrants with NGOs in Italy, serving as an AmeriCorps Teaching Fellow, and working at CC's Cheryl Schlessman Bennett Children's Center.

We're excited to see the impact she'll make as a teacher and cultural ambassador in Botswana.

Felix has been awarded the prestigious Fulbright English Teaching Assistant Award and is spending the next year in Germany teaching English in a German public school.

Colorado College students learn beyond the classroom.

CC students gained firsthand experience in the Wildfire Journalism & Ecology at Colorado Firecamp Career Catalyst Block. Their work included reporting on wildfires, interviewing Colorado Governor Jared Polis, publishing with the Pulitzer Prize-winning Inside Climate News, collaborating with Colorado Firecamp, and earning wildland firefighter certifications.

Help us congratulate Chloe Agenor ’27 and Kevin Menendez Mejia ’28 on receiving the prestigious U.S. Department of State Benjamin A. Gilman International Scholarship!

Chloe is using her funding to study in Berlin through CC’s Summer Block Away, exploring the experiences of marginalized people in Germany through the perspectives of Black feminism, transnational feminism, and critical race theory. Kevin will spend the fall semester conducting field research on endangered species conservation in Kenya and Rwanda.

The Gilman Scholarship helps make study abroad more accessible for students and supports them long after they return through professional development and service opportunities. 🌎

Ben Murphy ’24 is building a global career rooted in social enterprise and development work.

After supporting livelihood initiatives in Kenya and teaching digital literacy and STEM in rural India through the American India Foundation’s SAHELI program, Murphy is headed to Mongolia as a Princeton in Asia Fellow with telecommunications company MobiCom.

Murphy says CC’s Block Plan prepared him to immerse himself deeply in new cultures and communities.
