Healthcare Summer Camp June 2026 (Day 5)

Nursing (ADN) | AAS:
Program prepares students to become a member of the nursing profession, meeting the needs of a diverse population. Becoming a RN allows you to advance in your professional career in healthcare by giving you a broad scope of practice, the ability to specialize, & meaningful work that pays a comfortable salary.
AAS degree program can be completed in 4 semesters, successful completion grants eligibility to apply to take the NCLEX-RN to obtain their nursing license. Program has a selective admission process with specific admission criteria and accepts applications in the fall and spring semesters. Students must be 18 or older to enroll in courses.

Nursing Assistant (NUA) | Certificate:
NUA students are provided with extensive bedside education. Program is treated as a nursing preparatory course. Students receive nearly twice as much in-class and clinical experience than required by the Colorado State Board of Nursing. Successful graduates have the knowledge base to work as a CNA in a variety of settings to include long-term care, home health, hospice, rehabilitation, and acute care. This certificate has short completion time, requiring 3 courses and up to 50 hours of hands-on clinical experience. Students must be 16 or older to enroll. Completion grants eligibility to apply to take the Colorado Nurse Aide Certificate Examination.

American Heart Association (AHA) Training:
PPS’s AHA training center offers courses that provide students with lifesaving skills for both in and out of hospital emergencies. CPR is a simple, life-saving skill that can significantly impact the outcome for both family members and patients. Since 80% of cardiac arrests occur outside of healthcare settings, it’s often your family, friends, and coworkers who can save your life.
