Meet C1C Sarah Price from Eagle River, Alaska.

A Legal Studies major, Sarah comes from a military family and hopes to commission into the United States Air Force as an Intelligence Officer before later transferring into the JAG Corps. She was drawn to the mission, culture and commitment to adapting for the future of warfare.

Key experiences that shaped her journey:
🪖 𝗕𝗮𝘀𝗶𝗰 𝗖𝗮𝗱𝗲𝘁 𝗧𝗿𝗮𝗶𝗻𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗖𝗼𝗺𝗺𝗮𝗻𝗱𝗲𝗿. Led through BCT, building cohesive cadre teams.

Guardian selects took another step toward joining the United States Space Force during the Academy's inaugural Blue Tape Ceremony.

The ceremony connected each select with an active-duty Guardian mentor who will provide insight into culture, assignments and the transition from cadet to Guardian during their final academic year.

Meet C1C Austin Ochander from Bend, Oregon.

A Geospatial Science major and member of the Martinson Honors Program, Austin discovered a calling through military service and the opportunity to lead others.

As the first in his family to serve, he hopes to commission into the United States Air Force as a pilot, drawn to the fast-paced decision making, complexity and challenge of aviation.

Key experiences that shaped his journey:
🪖 𝗦𝘂𝗺𝗺𝗲𝗿 𝗖𝗮𝗱𝗲𝘁 𝗪𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗖𝗼𝗺𝗺𝗮𝗻𝗱𝗲𝗿. Led more than 4,400 cadets across summer operations, gaining invaluable experience leading through complex challenges.
👥 𝗖𝗮𝗱𝗲𝘁 𝗟𝗲𝗮𝗱𝗲𝗿𝘀𝗵𝗶𝗽. Served as Wing Commander and Basic Cadet Training Non-Commissioned Officer in Charge, developing leadership through unique opportunities.
🎓 𝗟𝗲𝗮𝗱𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝘄𝗶𝘁𝗵 𝗣𝘂𝗿𝗽𝗼𝘀𝗲. Took command of the Cadet Wing during the Graduation Parade, one of the most meaningful moments of his Academy experience.

The Academy has prepared him to respond to any challenge by continually testing, sharpening and developing the foundation required to lead Airmen and Guardians from day one.

🪖 𝗦𝘂𝗽𝗲𝗿𝗶𝗻𝘁𝗲𝗻𝗱𝗲𝗻𝘁 𝗟𝘁. 𝗚𝗲𝗻. 𝗣𝗮𝘂𝗹 𝗗. 𝗠𝗼𝗴𝗮, Class of 1995, has long demonstrated hands-on leadership, including running Jacks Valley courses alongside cadets during his tenure as Commandant of Cadets.

Now serving as the 23rd Superintendent, General Moga brings that same leadership philosophy to the entire institution, leading with the same commitment to developing leaders, strengthening readiness and forging warfighters.

Lt. Gen. Tony D. Bauernfeind’s career came full circle during his retirement ceremony at , where he began his journey as a member of the Class of 1991.

After more than three decades of service, Lt. Gen. Bauernfeind retired as the 22nd Superintendent, following a career that included:

In his final address, he reminded cadets of the responsibility that comes with choosing a life of service:
