Asian Pacific Islander Student Union of UCCS

Asian Pacific Islander Student Union of UCCS We hold cultural and social events! The mission statement of APISU is to promote cultural awareness and diversity among the UCCS students, faculty, and staff.

APISU, Asian Pacific Islander Student Union, is a cultural student-led organization at UCCS that promotes cultural diversity, inclusivity and breaking down stereotypes. Not limited to Asian Pacific Islanders. The Asian Pacific Islander Student Union (APISU) is a club at the University of Colorado in Colorado Springs. We are about building a stronger and inclusive community at UCCS and the surrounding communities. We stay active and engaged on our campus and are allies to all of the multicultural clubs.

We thought the Student Life Lounge heater was turned up… turns out it was just the competition getting HEATED. 🔥🎲

Casino Night + Board Games was definitely a competitive one! From taking risks at the tables to saving up those APISU tokens, we loved seeing everyone get competitive, meet new people, and just have a good time together.

A huge THANK YOU to everyone who came out and helped us test our brand-new APISU Token System!

This was our first time putting it into action, and we learned a lot from you all. We’ll be fine-tuning the system as we go, so keep those tokens safe… you’re going to want them later. 👀

And the fun isn’t stopping there!

7 organizations. 80+ students. One community. 🌎

Our Multi-Club Field Day became our biggest collaboration yet, bringing together more than 80 students from across 7 clubs and organizations for an evening centered around community, connection, and culture.

From volleyball and pickleball to music, food, conversations, and plenty of laughs, it was incredible seeing so many different communities come together in one space.

More than anything, this event reminded us what can happen when student organizations collaborate instead of staying within our own circles. We got to meet new people, learn about other organizations, build new friendships, and create a space where everyone could simply show up and belong.

A HUGE thank you to every club and organization that collaborated, contributed, promoted, volunteered, brought their members, and helped make this event possible!!

And thank you to the 80+ students who showed up and brought the energy. You made this event what it was.

What a way to close out summer. ☀️

45 MEMBERS AT OUR FIRST MEETING?! 🤯

We seriously couldn’t have asked for a better way to start the 2026–27 year. 45 of you showed up for our first APISU meeting, and we are so grateful for every single person who came out.

From meeting so many new faces, getting way too competitive during icebreakers, and just getting to know everyone, the vibes were so good that we literally went past our scheduled time at the Student Life Lounge 😭

And then somehow the night got even better at Pandaz Boba… lets just say… they definitely made some money off APISU that night

Thank you to everyone who came, brought friends, introduced yourselves, played games, and helped make our first event feel like an actual community.

And this was only meeting #1. 👀

Next up: Multi-Club Field Day — September 18!
