UCCS Alumni and Friends Association Stay in the know! The UCCS Alumni & Friends Association is the central link between the University and your Mountain Lion family!

In support of its mission, the Alumni Advisory Board and the Office of Alumni Relations work together to:

- Create, promote, and preserve traditions of the University
- Communicate the accomplishments of the University to alumni
- Encourage alumni and friends of the University to use their time, talents and energy for the advancement of UCCS
- Promote financial support of the University

UCCS alum, Vijay Banerjee ('23, '25) made some of the best memories of his life during his graduate studies at UCCS.

“UCCS allowed me to explore so many things, from the esteemed professors to the beautiful international student communities here,” he said.

Originally from India, Vijay earned both a Master of Science and a doctorate degree in computer science at UCCS, focusing on embedded and real-time systems.

UCCS alum, Braxton Newton's ('26) path to nursing was anything but traditional. After starting college just one month before his youngest daughter was born, he knew he needed a career that would provide stability, flexibility and opportunities for growth.

Determined to build a new future for himself and his family, Braxton earned his Bachelor of Science in Nursing and began working as a registered nurse.
