This summer, our Sport Management students headed to London for an intensive week of elite venue tours, academic immersion, and iconic sightseeing.
The world-class itinerary included: Stepping onto the historic grounds of Wimbledon while learning about brand building. Then off to Tottenham Hotspur Stadium to learn about cutting-edge, multi-use stadium infrastructure and the important role sports plays in building local community. Next, was a visit to the 2012 Olympic Park where the students learned about venue legacy management at the iconic pool and velodrome. Academic excellence continued at Loughborough University with exclusive guest lectures who are leaders at the UK’s top sports institution.
This trip was the ultimate masterclass in sports management.

🏀 From UCCS to the NBA! 🔥 Big congratulations to Gabbi, a UCCS Sport Management senior, for landing a dream internship with the San Antonio Spurs! As an Impact Community Engagement Intern, Gabbi is stepping right into the action to help execute major social impact and community initiatives. Gabbi said the Spurs staff has been very welcoming and supportive to ensure all the interns connect with every single department. Gabbi also said it has been so interesting and educational to get a behind-the-scenes look at what goes into running a professional basketball team. - We love seeing our Sport Management Mountain Lions make a massive impact at the highest level of professional sports. -
