The Division of IT has appointed Dr. Beth Woods as Assistant Vice President for IT Enterprise AI, Data & Research Computing, effective May 1.

In this role, Woods will help lead the university’s efforts to define and advance its enterprise strategy for artificial intelligence, advanced analytics and high-performance computing.

Through the Provost’s AI Fellowship, South Carolina Honors College students are gaining hands-on experience with artificial intelligence while helping faculty integrate it into classrooms, building skills that prepare them for a rapidly evolving workforce.

With support from the Division of IT and the South Carolina Honors College, the Provost's AI Fellowship gives students hands-on experience with faculty while expanding the impact of AI across teaching and research.
