Student Spotlight: Why I Chose Mizzou 🐅
Today we're featuring Yoell Tewolde who is currently pursuing a BM in Composition! Mizzou New Music

“I chose Mizzou because of its strong programs and because of how much it felt like home. Through attending the Mizzou Summer Composition Institute when I was in high school, I learned about the responsibilities of a composer and how Mizzou faculty could help me develop my creative voice. The faculty and students I knew at Mizzou were also so welcoming, and I knew I'd fit right in.”

The University of Missouri Bands want to put a spotlight on one of our amazing staff members, Brooke Danielsen! Brooke is our Large Ensemble Coordinator overseeing our university concert bands and Marching Mizzou. Brooke also oversees festivals and events, instrument inventory, ensemble auditions, and so much more. Last year, Brooke also helped develop Sound Explorers, an adaptive beginning band for students with disabilities. Brooke does so much for our University Bands, and these actions do not go unnoticed!
