At first glance, Honors alumni Hansel Haase's and Riley Sutherland's senior thesis projects couldn't be more different: a Star Wars musical and a research thesis on women of the American revolution. Upon further examination, they both showcase the impact of an interdisciplinary, passion-driven project that gives both voice and nuance to previously underappreciated characters.

“One of the biggest lessons I learned is that it is okay to start a full-time engineering position without knowing everything. Every company and every project is different and much of what you need to know is learned through hands-on experience.
