We wrapped up an inspiring National Apprenticeship Week celebrating our Allied Health apprentices and partners in the Cardiovascular and Surgical Technology Registered Apprenticeship programs.
A special proclamation was presented by Portia Wu, Maryland Secretary of Labor and Logan Dean, Deputy Director, Office of Apprenticeship. Remarks from Dr. Calvin Ball, Howard County Executive, Dr. Minah Woo, Vice President of Workforce, Innovation and Strategic Partnerships at HCC, and Jeffrey Richmond, Director of Apprenticeship & Workforce Innovation at HCC, highlighted the impact of apprentices and the importance of strong employer partnerships.
Thank you to Johns Hopkins Hospital, LifeBridge Health, and MedStar Health for investing in the future workforce.
Howard Community College continues to lead in registered apprenticeships—creating pathways to high-earning careers through paid, hands-on learning so students can “earn while they learn.”
