Our PINK OUT event was such an amazing day raising awareness for breast cancer and celebrating our survivors, Dr. Lisa Hester and Ms. Elizabeth Cole. It was the BEST spending time together with our students just laughing and having fun!!! Here's to a new tradition!!!
💕 OCTOBER IS BREAST CANCER AWARENESS MONTH! 💕
We wear PINK for more than just a color. We wear it for HOPE, STRENGTH, and COURAGE! 💗
Breast cancer affects millions of individuals and families, and awareness can make a life-changing difference. Approximately 1 in 8 women in the United States will develop breast cancer during her lifetime.
🎀 In 2026, an estimated 321,910 women in the United States will be diagnosed with invasive breast cancer.
🎀 When breast cancer is detected at an early, localized stage, the 5-year relative survival rate is over 99%!
🌸 EARLY DETECTION MATTERS!
Know what is normal and report any changes.
Watch for new lumps, skin dimpling, ni**le changes, or unusual discharge.
Discuss your personal and family history with your healthcare provider.
Stay current with recommended mammograms. The U.S. Preventive Services Task Force recommends screening every two years for women ages 40–74 at average risk. Those at higher risk may need earlier or additional screening.
✔️ Remember, breast cancer can also affect men!
