🔥 Building skills one weld at a time!

Esaiya Sayyed completed his first SMAW—or stick welding—project under the guidance of instructor Ryan Peterson. The “stringer pad” helps beginning welders master the fundamentals, and Esaiya crushed it!

Aidan Blair is also sharpening his skills by practicing a flat T-joint with instructor Shannon Freeman.

Great work, Esaiya and Aidan! ⚡️

✈️ Workforce development starts before the first day on the job.

Columbus Technical College Workforce Solutions is proud to serve as a training partner for McCauley Propeller Systems in Columbus, Georgia, providing new-hire training for their incoming employees as they begin their careers with the company. But that’s only the beginning of the partnership.

After completing new-hire training with our team, many employees return to Columbus Tech for more advanced, job-specific instruction, including areas such as torque training and other technical skill development.

We’re bringing Driver’s Ed back during the school year, scheduled over two weekends so students can complete the classroom portion without missing school or using their school breaks!
