Our Capital University Comet basketball players and President Jared R. Tice were invited to join students at Bexley City School District Cassingham Elementary School for the Team Tressel Fitness Challenge. The session was led by Ohio Lt. Governor Jim Tressel and DeVier Posey with guests from the Ohio State Highway Patrol.

The statewide initiative encourages students across Ohio to build healthy habits through fitness, nutrition, sleep, goal-setting and wellness with collegiate and professional athletes helping motivate them along the way. For our Comets, it was an opportunity to do what Capital does best: show up, build relationships and be part of the community we call home.

We’re proud of our student-athletes for helping young students get moving, set goals and have a little fun along the way — and grateful to our Bexley neighbors at Cassingham for having us!

Capital University Theatre opens its 2026-27 season tonight with "Zip! Zap! Zop! A Flurry of Fables & Fractured Fairytales," a family-friendly romp through Storyville that grown-ups will love as much as kids.

Catch it Oct. 8-11 in the Cabaret Theater on the lower level of the Harry C. Moores Student Union. Admission is free with a Capital University ID.

For Vince Ford, M.Div. student at Trinity Lutheran Seminary and pastor at Church of Christ at Genessee Avenue, it means continually asking questions, expanding his perspective and finding new ways to serve his community.

After nearly two decades in church leadership and years in education, Vince returned to the classroom to deepen his understanding of history, theology and the complex needs facing the communities he serves.
