Schwob’s Paul Vaillancourt is teaming up with guitarist Dieter Hennings for an evening of contemporary chamber music that’s anything but predictable.

Expect rhythm, texture, unexpected sounds, and seriously creative music featuring works by Brian Cherney, Evis Sammoutis, Ricardo Zohn-Muldoon, and Juan Trigos.

So proud of Dr. Reba Wissner !!!

Two CSU faculty members were among the University System of Georgia faculty honored at the 2026 USG Foundation annual gala!

Dr. Kerri Taylor received the Felton Jenkins Jr. Hall of Fame Faculty Award, while Dr. Reba Wissner received the Regents’ Scholarship of Teaching & Learning Award. These are considered the highest honors, recognizing outstanding teaching, mentorship and contributions to student learning.

Join us this Sunday, August 23 at 4 p.m. for a Faculty Concert, featuring Dr. Aesook Moon, Professor of Organ at the Schwob School of Music.

A distinguished performer and educator, Dr. Moon has been part of the Schwob community since 2009. In addition to her work at Schwob, she currently serves as Associate Organist/Choirmaster at Trinity Episcopal Church in Columbus—a familiar musical presence for many in our community.

Her program will feature works by Weaver, Buxtehude, Bach, Krebs, Bingham, and Vierne, performed on the stunning G. Gunby Jordan Pipe Organ, one of the finest instruments of its type in the Southeast.

Last Friday we officially kicked off the 2026-2027 school year at Schwob! 🎶

Students, faculty, and staff gathered for Opening Convocation before heading outside for an afternoon of snow cones and hot dogs.
