This Mississippi State College for Women student hat, worn during the 1930s and early 1940s, is covered in signatures from members of the BlackList, Maskers, and Rogues social clubs, including a signature from the original owner’s future husband.

Even the hat itself has a story, with its “Milly Code 22” label offering a fascinating glimpse into the history of 1930s millinery.

Sunita says, "As an international student, I’m inspired to pursue my goals at The W because it allows me to combine my passion for business and accounting with the opportunity to make a meaningful impact. My time here has helped me turn my interests into purpose by giving me the skills and guidance to put ideas into action. The support of donors and scholarships has made it possible for me to focus on my education, and I hope to use what I’ve learned to give back to my community and inspire others."
