This year’s cultivar trial gardens are bursting with blooms… and butterflies!

Have you ever wondered how newly introduced annual cultivars perform in central Ohio?

The cultivar trials observe the performance of plants, helping us learn which cultivars thrive right here in Columbus! Chadwick Arboretum and Franklin County Master Gardener Volunteers work together to care for the trial beds and assist with evaluations of the plots.

We had the pleasure of having three students from OSU's Horticulture Crop Science join our team for the day. They have been working this summer with our friends over at OSU Chadwick Arboretum & Learning Gardens and wanted to see what it was like working at another public garden. They were awesome to work with and we wish them the best in their future careers!

Thank you to the Franklin County, OH Master Gardener Volunteers for this wonderful recognition!

From Laura Deeter:
Working with Master Gardeners is always amazing. They are so knowledgeable and hard working. I have so much respect. To think that my small part (in my mind small) is recognized is humbling. I am but one of an amazing team of folks! Chadwick Arboretum & Learning Gardens this one is also for you!!
