Abbott Nutrition Job Opportunity

We are seeking candidates for a Pilot Plant Maintenance Mechanic position that offers valuable industry experience and the potential for future full-time career opportunities with Abbott Nutrition. This role would be hired through a third-party, in hopes of becoming an Abbott role in the future.

The individual would support the maintenance, troubleshooting, repair, and continuous improvement of pilot plant processing and packaging equipment, including:
Retorts
Aseptic sterilizers
Homogenizers
High-shear mixers
Processing vessels and tanks
Heat exchangers
Pumps and piping systems
Conveyors
Filling and packaging systems

We are looking for candidates with strong mechanical aptitude, problem-solving skills, an interest in preventive and predictive maintenance, and a commitment to safety and continuous improvement.

Basic Qualifications:

· 2 years with a Bachelor's degree or 6 years in lieu of degree.

· Must have a U.S. FAA Airframe and Powerplant certification

· US Citizenship required

· Ability to obtain DoD Secret clearance.

· A US passport or able to quickly obtain US passport.

· Business or regional jet experience such as Global Express, XRS, Global 6000, CRJ, G-5, G-4, Challenger, etc.

·Must meet medical requirements for worldwide travel.



Preferred Qualifications:

· Current DoD secret clearance with at least 1 year from expiring.

· Connector repair, wire harness manufacture, & in-depth electronic and electrical troubleshooting experience.

· Loading of aircraft software.

· Adept at using electronic and electrical troubleshooting tools beyond the use of a simple meter.

· Experienced in Altimeter/Transponder checks utilizing Pitot/Static and Transponder test equipment.

· RVSM Certified and understands FAA RVSM guidelines and aircraft RVSM certification.

· Experienced in flight control and landing gear rigging and operational checks.

· Engine run qualified, and APU run qualified.

· Experience in moving and jacking aircraft.

· Operating ground support equipment.

· Experienced in the removal and replacement of engines and engine fan disks.

· Experience in repairs of composite materials.
