What an inspiring afternoon of learning, leadership, and sisterhood! 💙💛

D.O.S. had the pleasure of attending the 2026 Martha S. Pitzer Annual Lecture, featuring our Soror Dr. Debra J. Barksdale, PhD, FNP-BC, FAANP, ANEF, FAAN, Dean and Professor at the University of North Carolina at Greensboro School of Nursing and President of the American Academy of Nursing.

The lecture, When Technology Meets Trust: Nursing’s Ethical Imperative in an AI Era, provided thought-provoking insight into the intersection of artificial intelligence, healthcare, ethics, and the importance of maintaining trust in patient care.

As technology continues to transform healthcare, conversations like this remind us that innovation must remain grounded in ethics, humanity, equity, and trust.

It was an honor to support and celebrate Soror Barksdale and to witness her continued impact on nursing, healthcare, education, and our communities. 💛💙

**Congratulations, Soror Barksdale, on an outstanding and enlightening lecture!**

Today marks 25 years since September 11, 2001—a day that forever changed our nation and the lives of countless families.

Sigma Gamma Rho Sorority, Inc. pauses to remember the lives lost, honor the courage of the first responders and everyday heroes who answered the call, and recognize the families and communities whose lives were forever changed.

As we reflect on this solemn anniversary, may we continue to lead with compassion, stand together in times of need, and strengthen our communities through service.

We remember. We honor. We will never forget.
