We’re proud to welcome Kyle Herrington as the new Director of Beeler Gallery. A painter, educator, and curator, Kyle brings nearly two decades of experience across the arts. His curatorial practice reflects a belief that contemporary art can be both rigorous and accessible, creating meaningful connections between art and the people who experience it.

There’s still time to get creative at CCAD this fall! Registration for Saturday Art Classes and Adult Evening Art Classes is open through Sept. 6.

Explore Saturday classes for kids, teens, and adults, including drawing, painting, ceramics, digital art, comics, 3D modeling, and more. Adults can also make creativity part of their week with evening courses like Intro to Adobe Photoshop, Intro to Adobe Premiere Pro, and Bookbinding & Art Journaling.

CCAD students collaborated with Freestyle Komics and COTA to help bring “Dispatch” to life, a comic inspired by the people who keep Columbus moving. Working with Freestyle Komics founder Michael Watson, a CCAD Illustration alum and adjunct faculty member, students brought the comic from concept to page.

Congratulations to Fine Arts 2026 graduates Juliana Castro, Ashlyn Furillo, and M. Mickley, whose work will be featured in an upcoming exhibition at 934 Gallery. Join them for the opening reception on Friday, August 7, from 6–9 p.m. The exhibition will be on view through August 29.

CCAD is celebrating the retirement of Professor and Faculty Director of Beeler Gallery, Tim Rietenbach.

A CCAD alum, accomplished artist, educator, and curator, Tim dedicated his career to shaping generations of artists and curating impactful exhibitions in Beeler Gallery. He encourages students to look closely, make thoughtfully, and remember that every detail matters.

Congratulations to Tim on his retirement and his appointment as Emeritus Faculty. We thank him for his creativity, leadership, and lasting contributions to the CCAD community.
