* Until 645 AM EDT.

* At 349 AM EDT, radar and automated rain gauges indicated
thunderstorms producing heavy rain across the warned area. Between
1.5 and 3.5 inches of rain have fallen. Additional rainfall amounts
of 0.5 to 2 inches are possible. Flash flooding is ongoing or
expected to begin shortly.

HAZARD...Flash flooding caused by thunderstorms.

SOURCE...Radar and automated gauges.

IMPACT...Flash flooding of small creeks and streams, urban areas,
highways, streets and underpasses as well as other poor
drainage and low-lying areas.

* Some locations that may experience flash flooding include...
Columbus, Westerville, Reynoldsburg, Gahanna, Pickerington,
Worthington, Bexley, Granville, Pataskala, Groveport, Buckeye Lake,
Hebron, Minerva Park, Summit Station, Beechwood Trails, Easton,
Granville South and Ohio State University.
Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.

Be especially cautious at night when it is harder to recognize the
dangers of flooding.

Several law enforcement agencies will be conducting a joint training exercise today around Ohio Stadium to facilitate inter-agency communication and coordination during large scale events. There will be an increased police presence in the area during this training.
