College classrooms bring together students and faculty with a wide range of beliefs, values and perspectives. But are institutions doing enough to help faculty navigate those differences?

A new national study led by Matt Mayhew, William Ray and Marie Adamson Flesher Professor of Educational Administration and director of Ohio State's College Impact Laboratory, found strong faculty support for campus policies and practices that serve students of all religious, spiritual and secular backgrounds. The research also highlights the importance of creating opportunities for constructive dialogue across intellectual, political and religious differences.
