Congratulations to one of our former students, Ryan Abbott, for his successful summer internship at the Texas General Land Office. Read about his experiences working in their archives.

Today, we highlight our 2026 GLO Archives and Records Summer Intern, Ryan Abbott, and his experience in creating a records management training video for the Heritage Department.

During his internship, Ryan worked on developing an effective method of instructing GLO employees on how to properly retain, manage, and dispose of records.

Huge congratulations to Janna Payne for passing her Master's comprehensive exam this afternoon. Janna will graduate this semester with her Master's of Science in History with a Women's and Gender Studies graduate certificate. She plans to teach High School History this Fall.
