We are proud to introduce our Alumni Spotlight: Monica Griffin.
Monica chose Cabarrus College's Health Sciences Leadership and Development (HSLD) program for two main reasons. She had previously earned her associate degree at Cabarrus College and had a very positive experience, so when she learned about the HSLD program, it aligned perfectly with her long-term career goals and the leadership skills she wanted to keep developing. The program's fully asynchronous online format and part-time flexibility were just as important, giving her the ability to balance her education with a full-time career and family responsibilities without feeling too overwhelmed.
When Monica began the HSLD program, she was serving in her first leadership role as an Office Coordinator. During her second year, she was promoted to Practice Manager, an opportunity that let her expand her responsibilities and apply many of the leadership principles she was learning in real time. Since graduating, she has continued strengthening her leadership skills, supporting her team, and growing within healthcare operations.
"I plan to continue developing as a leader and look forward to pursuing additional opportunities for growth and advancement in the future."
