Spring Break 2026 Art Careers Trek was a whirlwind of inspiration, alumni connections, and a deep dive into the NYC art scene! 🗽✨
Swipe through to see how we spent 72 hours in the city that never sleeps:
Day 1: The Arrival ✈️ Touchdown at LGA and straight to Chelsea to soak in the vibes (and maybe a few bagels).
Day 2: The Deep Dive 🖼️ A massive day starting with a panel at Dazed Media, an alumni lunch, and gallery hops through Lisson Gallery and Anton Kern Gallery. Ending the night with our Alumni Networking Event at the Frenchette Bakery in the Whitney!
Day 3: Big Moves 🎧Visiting the offices of Spotify and CAA, followed by a tour of The Met Opera, and then just like that we called it a wrap and heading back to NC. 🎬

Remember the Matthews Center does career treks throughout the year (typically fall and spring break) focusing on different industries to give students a true BTS of what careers in that focus are all about. Keep your eyes open next year if this is something you’d want to experience!
