Meet assistant professor Michael Vansco, Ph.D., who is working with his students to build a laser experiment to capture some of the fastest and most elusive steps in chemical reactions. With funding from the U.S. Department of Energy, they are investigating how quantum effects may guide hydrogen atoms along unexpected reaction pathways.
