Wall Fellows Program at Coastal Carolina University

Wall Fellows Program at Coastal Carolina University The Wall Fellows Program is designed to prepare top students across all of the colleges of Coastal Carolina University for high-level careers.

The Wall Fellows Program is uniquely designed to prepare top students across all of the colleges of Coastal Carolina University for high-level careers in major U.S. and international organizations. Students are chosen for the Wall Fellows Program through a rigorous application process in the second semester of their sophomore year which starts with a detailed written application and includes three

different levels of personal interviews. The two-year program provides the student one-on-one career and personal coaching in order to prepare them for his or her desired career. It includes a required three credit hour course each semester that covers specific nontraditional areas including interpersonal and communications skills, personal and business ethics, business and social etiquette, organizational skills and cross cultural skills. These skills prepare the Wall Fellows for a series of internships, including at least one required full-time semester long internship away from campus with a major organization, as well as the opportunity for international experiences. In addition, the Wall Fellows interact with key outside leaders in workshops and mentoring experiences designed to broaden their classroom learning opportunities. Finally, the Wall Fellows serve the university and local communities through work with various organizations, including hosting visiting dignitaries and working at community development events on behalf of the University. Please explore our website and learn more about the program, current Wall Fellows and those who have graduated from the program, as well as the application process and the program curriculum.

The Wall Fellows New York trip provided a meaningful opportunity to extend learning beyond the classroom and engage directly with one of the world’s most influential business environments. Experiencing New York City firsthand highlighted its role as a global hub across industries, where finance, media, and entrepreneurship intersect at an international level. Visiting the New York Stock Exchange was particularly impactful, as it transformed theoretical concepts into real-world understanding and demonstrated the scale and complexity of global markets.

A highlight of the experience was the opportunity to meet with James J. Winebrake, the current president of Coastal Carolina University! His insights on leadership, innovation, and the future of the university were both inspiring and informative, reinforcing the value of remaining connected to Coastal Carolina University while pursuing professional growth.

Additionally, engaging with alumni and industry professionals strengthened my understanding of effective networking and relationship-building. These interactions emphasized the importance of communication, adaptability, and professionalism in competitive environments.

Overall, this trip served as a valuable extension of academic learning, fostering both personal and professional development. The Wall Fellows Program is truly grateful for the opportunity to gain firsthand exposure to global industries, build meaningful connections, and further develop the skills necessary for future success.

Chants up from Iceland and London!!

Our Wall Fellows journey took us from the iconic landmarks of London walking past Buckingham Palace, exploring the Churchill War Rooms, spotting Big Ben, and riding the classic double-decker buses, to the breathtaking landscapes of Iceland. 🇬🇧➡️🇮🇸

From hiking through the mountains to soaking in natural hot springs, every moment was unforgettable. Thank you to for making this possible.
