🎉 Celebrating Excellence in the LANL–CCU Collaboration 🎉
On April 21, 2026, Coastal Carolina University hosted a special recognition event honoring the outstanding contributions of students, collaborators, and mentors involved in the Los Alamos National Laboratory–Coastal Carolina University (LANL–CCU) Collaboration Initiative.
This event celebrated the innovation, dedication, and hard work of students engaged in research across:

⚡ High-performance computing
🇺🇸 National laboratory–aligned research
Dr. William Jones and Dr. Crystal Cox presented certificates recognizing the many students and mentors whose efforts continue to drive this initiative forward.
👏 Certificate recipients included:
Alexander Ur, Avery Javens, Benjamin Wynn, CJ George, Craig Walker, David Pence, Delayna Moury, Desmond Holmes, Gavin Smithson, Luke Beirne, Marcos Carvajal, Meghan Lomas, Migeljan Imeri, Mike Szklarzewski, Raymond Pridgen, and Prof. Dakota Fulp.
đź’¬ Dr. Crystal Cox shared:
“What makes this initiative so impactful is the students themselves… their commitment, collaboration, and willingness to take on challenging problems drive the success of this program.”

“These students are not only learning, they are contributing to work that has relevance far beyond the university.”

“This event was about celebrating the individuals who make this collaboration successful.”
The evening concluded with a reception, giving attendees the opportunity to connect and celebrate the continued success of the LANL–CCU partnership.
