UCA environmental science majors, biology majors and biology graduate students recently joined professors Ginny Adams and Reid Adams for their annual camping and fieldwork trip to Sylamore Creek in north-central Arkansas. Students sampled fish and habitats at long-term monitoring sites alongside partners from the U.S. Forest Service and Arkansas Game and Fish Commission.

UCA’s College of Education welcomed more than a dozen Central Arkansas school districts and nearly 50 teacher residents for Match Day on September 25. Residents participated in interviews, heard from 2026 Arkansas Teacher of the Year Stephanie Williams and received their College of Education pins while taking the teacher’s pledge ahead of their spring and fall 2027 field placements.
