Southwestern is excited to announce Ciara Rubí as our 2026–27 Guest Artist in Residence.
Rubí is a multidisciplinary artist working in collage, autofiction, photography, drawing, and printmaking.

Join us for an Artist Reception to welcome Ciara to Southwestern, meet the artist, learn about her work, and hear about upcoming workshops. The reception is free and open to the public. We hope you’ll join us!

Love Halloween? Well.. we have a treat for you! Join SWOCC STEAM Pathways for STEAM‑O‑WEEN on Tuesday, October 27th, 6–8 pm @ Southwestern Oregon Community College Coos Campus in Umpqua Hall. This FREE, all‑ages event is packed with hands‑on science fun, spooky experiments, and Halloween excitement. Costumes are optional—but encouraged! Anyone who dresses up will be entered into a prize drawing.
