Even if you didn't venture to the movie theater this summer you're probably still aware of "The Odyssey" and its current stake in pop culture. The poem has been debated for many years, leading to the film bringing a lot of those conversations to the forefront.

One debate pits Jesus against Odysseus; some claiming the stories are fairly alike. Robyn Walsh dives into this perspective that the New Testament in the Bible has similar themes and moments between the two "hero" figures in their respective stories.

Thanks to the generosity of The Batchelor Foundation, Inc., the Batchelor Bridge for Autism Grant Program will propel groundbreaking interdisciplinary research and evidence-based interventions to help children and families throughout South Florida and beyond.

Autism spectrum disorder (ASD) is among the most widely known and complex of disabilities. According to the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, one in 31 8-year-olds is now diagnosed with ASD, and the number of people known to have ASD has risen dramatically in the past 20 years.

Morris Alper, a new faculty member in the Department of Computer Science, helped develop ConlangCrafter, a tool that leverages large language models (LLMs) to create novel languages with their own grammar rules and vocabulary.
