Senior Ashley Sewall jumped both feet into the creative when she stepped on campus. The double major in graphic design and public relations, in the University of Miami School of Communication, balanced her dual studies with a full plate of commitment on campus. Her work in Hurricane Productions, Student Government and other organizations has left a mark on campus. Congratulations, Ashley!

Creativity and connection shaped Ashley Sewall’s path at the U, where campus involvement and hands-on experience defined her undergraduate journey and prepared her for what comes next.

Last month assistant professor Kun Wang received a National Science Foundation (NSF) CAREER Award, an honor that supports rising faculty leaders, which is a five-year grant supporting long-term research. Dr. Wang's research is focused on molecular quantum systems and the question "what happens when electronic devices can no longer shrink?"

Congratulations to Dr. Wang and the Department of Physics for this wonderful recognition and award to continue innovative research!

A University of Miami physicist has received one of the nation’s most prestigious honors for early-career scientists, the NSF CAREER Award, positioning his research at the forefront of next-generation quantum technologies.

For Anais Moyal going to college included challenges that most others don't face alongside aggressive curriculum and outside-the-classroom activities. Even with these hurdles in her way, Anais went on to pursue a difficult major and make impact on campus by starting a new organization. She graduated in our class of 2026 with a degree in biochemistry and crossed the stage at. commencement, culminating her years of work!
