Center For Montessori Teacher Education North Carolina CMTE/NC is accredited by the Montessori Accreditation Council for Teacher Education (MACTE) and affiliated with the American Montessori Society (AMS)

CMTE/NC offers AMS certification courses for Infant/Toddler, Early Childhood, Elementary I and Elementary I-II program levels. Our teaching site is located at the Phoenix Montessori Academy in beautiful Davidson, NC. (All correspondence should go to the business office in Angier, NC). All courses are accredited by MACTE and affiliated with the American Montessori Society. CMTE/NC is directed by Ceres York & Sharon Greene-Goering

A Funeral Mass will be held on Saturday, January 17, 2026, at 2:00 PM at Saint Peter Catholic Church in Charlotte, NC, officiated by Father Tim Stephens, SJ. A reception will follow in Benedict Hall. All who were touched by Jo-Anneā€™s life and work are welcome to attend.
