Congratulations to all of our students who earned their Air Conditioning and Electrical Skills Awards! Your hard work and dedication are paying off, and we couldn't be prouder.

A special congratulations as well to our Department Chair, Paul Creacy, who had the honor of serving as the keynote speaker for this year's celebration.

This is what community partnerships are all about.

A sincere thank you to the Texas Builders Foundation and the Del Mar College Foundation for this $10,000 investment in our students learning the skilled trades.

Every dollar helps create opportunities for future electricians, HVAC technicians, plumbers, builders, and maintenance professionals. These students will go on to build homes, businesses, and communities throughout South Texas.

We are grateful for industry partners who believe in workforce education and in the value of the trades.

Build Your Education. Build Your Career. Build Your Community. 🔨⚡🏗️🏠

We are incredibly grateful to Texas Association of Builders for their generous support of Del Mar College students through this meaningful donation. These funds will directly assist students in Construction Skills Training programs including Building Maintenance, Plumbing, HVAC, Electrical, and Carpentry by helping provide the required tools, equipment, and learning materials they need to succeed in the classroom and enter the workforce with confidence.

Due to extreme winter weather conditions, Del Mar College will shift to remote operations and instruction tomorrow, Monday, January 26.

Students should watch for guidance from faculty regarding online classes and assignments. We understand that some students may have limited access to technology, and faculty will work with students as needed.

Supervisors should contact their staff members to provide guidance on meetings and work assignments.

During remote operations and instruction, all Del Mar College physical campuses will be closed. Please do not attempt to come to campus on Monday.

Normal operations will resume Tuesday, January 27.

The health and safety of our students, employees, and guests remain our top priority. Please continue to monitor the Del Mar College website, email, and official social media channels for weather-related updates.

🧝‍♂️ You’ve heard of Elf on a Shelf…
…but here in the DMC Building Trades, our elf doesn’t sit on the shelf — he BUILDS the shelves! 🔨📐

From Air Conditioning to Electrical, Plumbing, and Building Maintenance, our students learn real-world skills that turn holiday magic into hands-on craftsmanship. 🎄✨

Building Trades came to ref, not run… but apparently our Program Director didn’t get the memo! 😂

One minute he’s calling plays — next thing you know, the Ref takes off down the field like it’s the Super Bowl! 🏃‍♂️💨 Touchdown! (…or technically a major rule violation. Details, details.)

Let’s just say the whistle was blown — mostly because he was out of breath! 🤣

Huge shoutout to all the Vikings who made the Turkey Bowl’s comeback such an awesome time.
Great games, great laughs, and one rogue Ref who just couldn’t resist the open field!

🛠️💙

A revived campus tradition brings together faculty, staff and students in celebration of DMC’s 90th anniversary.

🎉🎂 Happy Birthday, Ben Gregory! 🎂🎉

Today we celebrate not only your special day, but also the incredible impact you’ve had on all of us in the Building Trades. You were one of the lead instructors who taught every single one of the faculty we have today—without your guidance, knowledge, and dedication, we wouldn’t know what we are doing.

Your teaching laid the foundation for everything we’ve built, and your influence continues to live on in every classroom, every lab, and every student we serve.

Thank you for paving the way for us, Ben. Enjoy your day—you’ve more than earned it! 🙌🎈

P.S. If you aren’t following this page… you owe us lunch. 😉🍔
