Mobile medical services for DMC students and staff launches April 14 on Heritage Campus.

Vikings,

You’re invited to the launch of mobile medical services for students and staff at Del Mar College! In partnership with South Texas Family Planning and Health Corporation (STFPHC), a brand-new Medical Support Squad will visit Del Mar College at 11:30 a.m. Monday, April 14, outside the Memorial Classroom Building on the Heritage Campus at Ayers Street and Baldwin Boulevard. Please join us!

With this joint health venture, quality health care will be just a step away for Del Mar College students and staff.

The Medical Support Squad, one of the first mobile clinics to go live, is a 40-foot, two exam room medical clinic on wheels with a lab. In the clinic, patients can access a wide range of free and affordable services, labs and prescriptions. Services include women’s health, breast and cervical cancer screenings and a full range of birth control options, including intrauterine devices. The clinic also provides health screenings and treatments for diabetes, cholesterol, high blood pressure, respiratory infections and sexually transmitted infections.

For more information, contact the STFPHC at 361-855-7333.

Requesting your help in informing and encouraging all current and prospective DMC students to submit an online scholarship application.
More than 1,400 students were awarded over $2.9 million in scholarships (a record high) this 24-25 academic year. This support empowers our students to succeed in achieving their dreams.
The online application for DMC Foundation scholarships takes about 7-15 minutes to complete. There is only one application, and it pairs students with all the scholarships they are eligible for.
A person can only receive a scholarship if they apply; your help in sharing this news with others could be the first they hear about or what pushes them into completing the application.

Deadline: April 30th
