Beginning Tuesday, May 26, 2020 a new celebration website will be the hub for all things Commencement, featuring video presentations, interactive celebration activities and a listing of this year’s applicants for degrees. The website will be accessible from the Commencement 2020 page. Your graduate will receive an email once available and throughout the week of celebration.
Help us celebrate the SUNY Cortland Class of 2020! Below are just a few examples of how you can participate in the Virtual Commencement Celebration:
1. Submit a congratulatory message to the Class of 2020:
Prior to and during the virtual celebration week celebrate your student by sharing a message of congratulations. To share your congratulatory notes, photos and videos post your message on social media and utilize the hashtag . You may also submit a message by completing the Cortland Congrats form accessible via the site. All messages will be featured on the Commencement celebration website beginning Tuesday, May 26 and will be available for viewing throughout the week.
Examples include but not limited to:
· Post a photo from your graduate’s childhood
· Share photos of your celebrations
· Tell us why you are proud of your graduate
· Record a video of congratulations
· Post a photo of your graduates first year and last year
2. View names of applicants for graduation:
Beginning Tuesday, May 26, view your graduate on the Commencement Celebration site. Within the graduate section of the site, you will be able to search for your graduates name, view their special person and photo if submitted.
3. Download virtual graphics to celebrate your graduate:
Celebrate your special graduate with this eye-catching 18-by-24-inch yard sign. Upload this PDF to any vendor that sells customized lawn signs in this size.
If you’d prefer to create your own lawn sign, please feel free to use official SUNY Cortland illustrations or logos.
