Kirsten became a Broker after many years of living overseas. The time was right to bring her two kids back to her hometown. Always a Beaver fan, Kirsten went to local schools, played sports and was active in 4-H. She is connected to the community and knows what it takes to be successful in this market. Due to our successful event last year, Connected Real Estate Group is pleased to announce it's 2nd Annual Hygiene Drive! 🥳

It will be on Thursday, May 8th from 3 - 6pm. We will have a drop-off tent in our office parking lot at 435 NW 5th St in Corvallis. If you can't make it by during those times, please call us at 541.512.4430 and we will be happy to make arrangements.

This drive benefits many local non-profits including: Vina Moses Center CARDV CASA-Voices for Children ABC House and more. We are looking for donations of personal hygiene items including shampoo, soap, deodorant, baby wipes, dental care, wash cloths, etc. Please see the flyer below for more details.

Connected Real Estate Group is pleased to announce our 2nd community drive of the year! Next Saturday, November 30th, during hosted by the Albany Downtown Association, we will be collecting "Snacks for Packs & Pets" for Fish of Albany, Inc. and SafeHaven Humane Society. "Snacks for Packs" is a weekend food program by FISH of Albany for eligible students in a GAPS school experiencing food insecurity. "Snacks for Pets" will benefit puppies and kittens awaiting adoption at SafeHaven Humane in Tangent. Our tent will be set up at our office at 120 Ellsworth SW from 10-4 and we'll have two parking spaces reserved for you to drop off any items you'd care to donate. Thank you and we hope to see you there!

Good information!

The Oregon Department of Forestry has published new DRAFT Wildfire Hazard Maps developed by Oregon State University. The draft map is open for public comment through August 18, 2024, with finalization expected by October 1, 2024. Once finalized, the map will be used to identify which properties will be subject to new defensible space requirements or fire-hardening building codes. Impacted properties are those that are in the Wildland-Urban Interface (WUI) and in a High Hazard Area.

Following the original rollout of the maps, the Oregon legislature passed SB 80 in 2023. SB 80 made several changes including:
• Establishing a legislative purpose for the maps.
• Changing the focus of the maps to identifying three “hazard” zones (high, moderate, low) rather than five “risk” classes that were part of the original maps (extreme, high, moderate, low, and no risk).
• Providing additional funding for wildfire hazard mitigation.

Connected Real Estate Group is hosting a for our local non-profits; benefiting Community Outreach, Inc., CARDV, CASA-Voices for Children, Vina Moses Center and Unity Shelter.

While any/all donations will be very much appreciated, the specific items we are looking for include but are not limited to: Period care products, Toilet paper, Soap, Shampoo, Conditioner, Toothpaste, Baby Wipes, Deodorant, Men's/Women's underwear, Razors, Shaving Cream, Twin Sheet Sets, Mattress Protectors, Washcloths, Bath Towels, Laundry Soap, Lotion.
