We are offering internships in Accounting, Agronomy, Dairy, Irrigation, Mechanics, and Safety. Interns will receive hourly compensation as well as a $10,000 scholarship at the end of the summer.

Way to go, Grace! 👏🏻

Meet Grace Lindemann, operations intern at our Boardman yard!

Grace grew up in Mill City, Oregon on her family’s small farm where they raised goats, pigs, horses, and showed livestock in 4-H. Her interest in cattle genetics has rooted from her involvement with her family’s rodeo stock contracting company.

She will be a junior at Oregon state where she is studying Animal Science, with an option in Animal Production. Grace is also actively involved in the Oregon State University Steer-A-Year program, and enjoys hunting and fishing, trail riding, camping, sports, and spending time with her family and friends. It’s hard to beat a good steak, but her favorite way to eat beef is carne asada!

Over the summer Grace spent time in each department of the yard. She began the summer helping with a research project, then spent time in the feed mill, feeding crew, maintenance, and processing crew. She finished her internship with the hospital and pen rider teams.

Grace says that her favorite part of her internship has been the people and seeing first hand the passion they have for cattle. This summer has been full of new experiences and Grace says she is always learning something!

The most challenging part of this summer for Grace has been adjusting to a new routine and environment, but the greatest reward has been the way she has been able to grow and adapt while always learning something new.

Grace says she has been impressed to see how much the team values innovation, research, technology and the company’s desire to always improve and do better for the cattle and people.
