2026-27 will be the first term in which the College of Education has its own Living-Learning Community! Located in Callahan Hall, right across the road from our college headquarters in Furman Hall, the Live to Teach LLC offers a space for future teachers to build community and connect with their instructors and advisors. Yesterday, some of our student staff had the opportunity to tour the facilities, common areas, rooms, and even the community garden! Find out more here: https://beav.es/YfT

At the College of Education, we don't just build the K-12 teachers of tomorrow, we support the teachers of today! We were so honored to participate in today's back-to-school rally held by the Corvallis School District at LaSells. Our faculty had the pleasure of connecting with teachers, educators, and support staff. We handed out plenty of College of Education swag and program brochures while enjoying the incredible energy in the room. What a great way to gear up for the fall semester! 🍎

This spring, CoEd student Anastasia Rigby, had the honor of serving as Oregon's Parent Family Representative at Strolling Thunder 2026, a national early childhood advocacy event organized by ZERO TO THREE in Washington, D.C. Anastasia traveled to Capitol Hill with her family and met with Oregon's congressional delegation to advocate for federal investment in birth-to-five programs, child care, and family support. She had a personal meeting with Representative Bonamici, and the chance to speak with Speaker Emerita Nancy Pelosi at the Capitol rally. Anastasia said of the experience: "I feel like my time at OSU has really helped shape the way I think about education, advocacy, and community, and I just wanted to share this milestone with you. It felt connected to everything I'm working toward with my degree." Congrats on your hard work Anastasia and for advocating for Oregon's children!
