If you’ve completed Beginning Wood Carving, it’s time to take the next step! Join our Intermediate Wood Carving (Level II) class at St. Charles Community College and build on your foundational techniques while creating a more detailed project.

In this class, you’ll:
Refine tool control
Work with larger, more intricate patterns
Learn about wood selection and tool maintenance
Explore finding patterns and developing your own designs

By the end of the course, you’ll complete a detailed carving and gain the confidence to tackle more advanced projects on your own.

Basic Sign Language is an engaging, hands-on class where you'll learn the manual alphabet and basic signs while participating in activities designed to build recognition, understanding, and confidence.
Whether you're learning for personal interest, family, work, education, or simply want to communicate in a new way, this class is a great place to start. No previous sign language experience is required.

Senior QUEST: An Introduction to Healing Touch

Discover the power of gentle touch and relaxation in this heart-centered experience designed to support physical, emotional, mental, and spiritual well-being.

Join us for an introduction to Healing Touch and learn the Self-Chakra Connection technique, a simple, non-invasive practice that helps open, connect, and balance your energy centers. This guided activity is done comfortably in a seated position and can be practiced individually or with a partner.

Whether you’re new to energy work or simply looking for a calming wellness experience, this class offers an opportunity to slow down, reconnect, and nurture your well-being.

Eileen is a retired health and wellness program coordinator and former community health worker who is passionate about helping others find calm and balance. She is a trained facilitator in healing touch and several other wellness practices, including laughter yoga, sound baths, labyrinth walks, and grief support. Eileen holds a Master of Education degree from the University of Missouri–St. Louis.

Little Chefs, Big Thanksgiving Flavors!

Calling all young bakers ages 7–12! Get ready for a sweet and delicious Thanksgiving adventure. Kids will roll up their sleeves, get creative in the kitchen, and whip up three festive treats perfect for the holiday season.

Here's what's on the menu:

Mini Pumpkin Pies – Mix, fill, and bake personal-sized pumpkin pies topped with homemade whipped cream.

Turkey-Shaped Brownies – Turn chocolatey brownies into adorable turkeys with frosting and candy decorations.

Pumpkin Pie Smoothie – Blend up a creamy, cinnamon-spiced pumpkin drink to enjoy with all those tasty creations.

It's a fun-filled evening of baking, decorating, and delicious holiday memories!

Explore Your Art is a relaxed, supportive class designed for artists of all experience levels. Whether you love acrylics, watercolor, drawing, or another medium, this is your opportunity to slow down, create, experiment, and develop your skills.
Work at your own pace while receiving individualized guidance, trying new techniques, asking questions, and getting helpful feedback from the instructor. You'll also have the chance to connect with fellow artists and share your creative journey.
All artistic mediums are welcome. Students should bring their own materials.

St. Charles Community College hosts a two-day holiday craft fair featuring artisans, makers, and small businesses. This is a "day before and day of" component of the Light the Tree at SCC community event on Saturday with a focus on unique, handmade, and gift-ready items for holiday shoppers.
