🎥 Finding her path - one experience at a time 📸

Rose Clements, a down-to-earth and open-minded student, is making the most of her college journey. As a double major and student photographer for WCU Communications & Marketing Department, she's embraced every opportunity to explore her passions and grow creatively.

🌴Summer Internship Adventures in Hospitality & Travel 🌴

Ann Ranasinghe, Hospitality & Tourism Management Major, recently kicked off her summer internship by attending a travel industry conference. Before it began, she explored the area, enjoyed time by the pool, and experienced a sunset cruise. While staying at Pier Sixty-Six, she also toured the Omni Hotel, gaining insight into luxury hospitality.

At the conference, she participated in group sessions and fast-paced networking with industry professionals, building connections and gaining valuable knowledge, even meeting fellow WCU connections.

Ann wrapped up her experience feeling inspired, supported, and excited for the journey ahead.

✨ A Morning of Connection & Empowerment ✨

Southwestern Community College recently hosted the inspiring EmpowHER Jackson: Women's Rise & Shine Breakfast, bringing together women from across Jackson County to connect, learn, and uplift one another.

A highlight of the event was seeing the connections in action. College of Business Dean AJ Grube caught up with the College of Engineering & Technology Program Manager, Brianna Norris, during the event.

The well-attended event made for meaningful networking, creating a space for aspiring entrepreneurs, business owners, and community leaders to share strategies for success and build lasting connections.
