Tonight (6/12) 8pm-10pm: Community Support Group Responding to Systemic Violence Against Immigrants

Dear Community Members,

We are pleased to invite you to participate in a supportive sanctuary dedicated to healing and emotional resilience in the face of systemic violence devastating Los Angeles. Tonight at 8pm on Zoom. Drop-ins welcome.

Zoom Link: https://antioch.zoom.us/j/92182574705

More Info: Behind the walls of brutal immigration raids, a merciless force tears through the very fabric of our communities—spreading fear, pain, and deep despair. Yet, even in these harrowing moments, we must hold onto the unwavering courage of those who came before us—brave social activists whose sacrifices and relentless pursuit of justice have lit the path toward hope and transformation.

In standing in solidarity with immigrant communities and recognizing the profound connection between social justice, community healing, and collective strength, we come together to create a safe, compassionate space where voices are heard, and spirits are uplifted.

Everyone is welcome—regardless of background—to share in emotional support, open their hearts, and connect through shared experiences. Our group will emphasize genuine listening, witnessing each other's struggles, and inspiring hope through mutual care. Together, we will craft community commitments rooted in love and resilience, harnessing our collective talents and passion to sustain meaningful solidarity and action.

We look forward to building this supportive community with you, weaving strength and hope into the fabric of our collective future.

This Weekend! Don't miss out!

Join us Sunday, June 8, for F***y Brewster, Ph.D, Jungian analyst and author of The Racial Complex (2019), as she discusses post-election fear and despair currently impacting American society. She will offer reflections on American democracy, informed by the Black civil rights movements through the words of Rev. Martin Luther King and Malcolm X, as well as its indigenous American origins. This is an opportunity to be guided through a depth psychological inquiry into the complexity of this present moment for American society by one of the most cherished and highly regarded voices from the global Jungian analytic community. Greetings community members!

This week from the SDP Attic, we have a clip from the 2021 podcast "Healing After the Darkness: A Conversation" with Dr. F***y Brewster and Dr. Matthew Silverstein.

This clip focuses on working with the fear of having conversations about race and the racial complex. Dr. F***y Brewster provides excellent insight into how we can address this fear and move past it, allowing us to hold space for conversations that might bring up intense feelings or fear for many of us.

Greeting Antioch Community!

Introducing the "SDP Attic"! We're excited to repurpose old footage from previous workshops and community events into easily digestible snapshots to share with you all.

Our first clip is from a 2013 event titled "Advances in Personality Theory: Emerging Perspectives in Spiritual and Depth Psychology - Jungian Cultural Complex Theory" with faculty members Mark Troedson, PhD. and Thomas Mondragon, LMFT. This clip discusses the relation between cultural complex and the soul. Hope you enjoy!

In celebration of our 10th anniversary, the Spiritual and Depth Psychology Specialization established the Life As Practice Scholarship Fund.

The scholarship name, Life As Practice, is inspired by one of our core courses that focuses on the personal development required to engage in the work of psychotherapy as a path of service. Our vision for this scholarship is to make the Spiritual and Depth Psychology Specialization accessible to students that would not otherwise have the opportunity to pursue study in SDP.

Our initial goal is to raise the funds to support SDP students in financial need who demonstrate a commitment to social justice. Please help us to meet our initial goal of raising $5,000 by the end of the Spring term; Friday June 11th.

Donations of any amount are greatly appreciated and meaningful as the value of the gift is in the spirit of the generosity itself!

Donate by clicking on the link in the bio and selecting AULA Life As Practice - SDP Scholarship from the drop down menu!!

Racism in America:
Integrating the Shadow

A Free Community Conversation Saturday, June 27th 1pm PDT

Featuring Jungian analyst and author Dr. F***y Brewster

Join DEPTH PSYCHOLOGY ALLIANCE this coming Saturday (June 27th, 1pm PDT) for a community conversation and discussion of how depth psychology might contribute to the conversation on racism in our culture. Are we entering a new period in the history of racism in America? Are we really beginning to integrate the shadow of systemic racism into a higher awareness that will change things in new ways? What perspectives can depth psychology provide us from an objective, psycho-spiritual level, without becoming mired in partisan and emotional debates?
From Depth Psychology Alliance: ..Pacifica professor Dr. F***y Brewster has said that “…we have learned to live out Jung’s theory of Opposites in a sociological as well as a psychological manner through our racial complexes.” Join us as we explore our racial complexes and as we ask what depth psychological insights might help to move us forward in our efforts to overcome racism. Our featured panelist will be Pacifica Graduate Institute core faculty member and Jungian analyst Dr. F***y Brewster. Depth Psychology Alliance director, James Newell, will moderate the discussion with all contributions from a depth psychological perspective welcome..
